Our Purpose
The COVID-19 Pandemic shined a spotlight on the issues within Canada’s healthcare system. Essential healthcare workers form the core of providing care to our families—but they are under resourced and under supported.
At FHF, we believe that action must be taken now to address these issues. As a youth-led non-profit organization, we educate students in understanding the challenges within the healthcare industry and offer them opportunities to make a difference.
Our primary initiative is to provide scholarships for students enrolled in graduate programs, pursuing careers in healthcare. By easing financial burdens and helping reduce student debt, we intend to support the next generation of healthcare workers and help alleviate the ongoing shortage in the industry.
While this is just one small step, we are committed to creating a brighter, more sustainable future for both healthcare workers and patients, one step at a time.

Future Healthcare Fund envisions a future where all Canadians receive excellent healthcare from a supported workforce. As Canada faces imminent shortages of healthcare professionals, reaching a peak by 2030, our mission intensifies. Currently, we support aspiring students and healthcare professionals through initiatives like our "Fund a Nurse" scholarship, which helps reduce the financial barriers to pursuing careers in healthcare.
But our vision goes beyond scholarships and appreciation. Moving forward, we are committed to having a more direct impact on the healthcare workforce shortage, improving the working environment for healthcare workers, and enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. By focusing on supporting both the workforce and the healthcare environment, we hope to ensure that healthcare professionals have the resources and support they need to provide the best care possible to all patients.
